One of the most common questions, which one is really better wordpress or blogger? I would say both are good in its own ways, there are people who run blogger blogs for years and even make thousands of dollars a month and also people who run wordpress blog for years and still struggle to get traffic.
What do I mean? I don’t mean that people who use blogger get to the top and people who use wordpress don’t perform well its not true. I mean it depends on you and how skillful you are, both have its own positive and negative points, it just depends on how well you use both of them.
I would strongly suggest if you are newbie to blogging world then start with blogger blogs, reason is they are relatively easy to customize and also to setup, it gives you a quick start in to blogging world, you can just sign up for an account and get your own url in a matter or minutes or even seconds and start to add your articles and voila you are in!! blogger blogs are really easy to maintain.
When you take wordpress blogs, I mean self hosted wordpress blogs then you need your own server, your own domain and then you need to install your blog and install a new template and customize it a bit, it involves a little more work to start up with and reason I don’t recommend wordpress blogs for newbies is that, you need to have proper knowledge about hosting, domains and you need to know how to install the wordpress script in your server and then you need to choose your templates etc etc.. it will involve bit more ground work than blogger.
So wordpress is for bit more advanced users who have some knowledge on hosting, servers, domains etc.. but from my experience I would say wordpress got more potential than blogger blogs, you get to choose a wide variety of free templates available out there, you can practically optimize almost anything you like, you got a wide variety of useful widgets, plugins which you cannot find with blogger blogs.
Wordpress gives you more flexibility and control over your blogs than blogger blogs, that’s the reason it is very popular, also wordpress blogs are really user friendly once you get used to it.
Over all I would say blogger blogs are good for newbies and who people who don’t have much knowledge about blogging, servers, hosting and other things and on the other hand with wordpress blogs are really great for advanced users with knowledge about online world.
I don’t mean using a blogger blog will not help you to succeed and also using a wordpress blog will make you stand out of the crowd, at the end of the day all that really matters is your contents, when you got really good contents on your blog, no matter whether its a wordpress blog or a blogger blog, people will follow you and you get more visitors to your blog, hopefully you can make more money if you monetize your blog.
