Its really confusing to know how Google really gives out page rank to sites? reason is simple Google keeps changing its algorithm on how it values a site and how it sees a back link to your site, why does Google keep changing it? they want to give a better user experience to its users, they don’t want to throw up some junk sites on the top of search results which will eventually annoy the people who use Google to search for what they are looking for.
But does page rank influences your SERPS resuts? I would say yes to a certain degree it does and also sites with higher page ranks usually indexed pretty fast, so what are the factors that really influences your page rank in Google?
Sites With high Page Rank Pointing To You:
If you got sites with high rank pointing towards yours then there is chance that you will get that rank juice to yours as well but it happens only if the link on a high page rank site is do-follow and again its hard to get such a link because Google penalizes sites which uses do-follow for other sites which are really not relevant to their contents and reduces their page rank. So normally people who knew about this wont point a link to your site with a do-follow attribute. I know people buy these high page rank links from other webmasters but please watch out before you waste your money.
Number Of Back Links:
Another major factor that influences google page rank is the number of backlinks, more the number of links you get pointing towards your site then there is more possibility that you will gain your page rank, but just remember more links from a same site won’t have much influence on page rank, for example you got more number of links pointing towards yours from digg.com it will still be considered as a single link as far as the page rank scale in concerned.
Links From Relevant Sites:
if you got a site on making money online and you got your link from a recipe site then Google won’t value that backlink to page rank, when you got a site on making money online then you need to get links from sites that are relevant to you niche, so don’t buy links from irrelevant sites and try to cheat Google, they will easily find out that your link is on a site that is not relevant in anyway to your site’s content.
I hope that helped you a bit on the factors that influences Google page rank, my personal opinion is page rank wont affect you much with your traffic, my blog is PR 0 and its two months old and regardless of my page rank my traffic increases everyday, so don’t give much importance to your page rank, rather give more importance to site’s content, produce great contents to your site and you will find people automatically linking towards you. Have a Great Day!
